Two Rivers County Park is located directly across from the mouth of the Snake River where it merges with the Columbia River and Sacajawea State Park, where Lewis and Clark spent two nights in October 1805. Downstream the Blue Mountains can just be seen on the horizon.
According to the local Audubon Society, the park contains a wide variety of habitats which provide forage and shelter for many resident and migratory birds. The nature trail at the east end of the park runs along an extensive marshland and is a great study in how nature can reclaim farmland. The park has three sheltered lagoons, fed from over two miles of Columbia River shoreline, and the last downstream developed boat launch in the Tri-Cities.
Park Amenities
- Picnic tables dot the park and have great river views with ample shade with a nice playground.
- The swimming area has a sand bottom and is shallow and and is perfect for wading and kids play.
- The disc golf course is challenging and well-maintained.
