Can I simply get state minimum limits?
If you have no savings or assets, minimum liability protection may be adequate yet it would not be enough to cover serious injuries or to repair/replace a more recent automobile. Without adequate insurance coverage, your future wages might be garnished to cover the damages you create.
If you just have the state-required $10,000 property damage and strike a car worth say $20,000, the insurance company will pay the $10,000 but you are responsible for the remainder.
Essentially, you are self-insuring for anything over the insurance limits you have purchased. If you don’t intend to have your wages garnished or your possessions sold off, seriously consider acquiring higher limits of liability.
Should I drive a vehicle I just bought without insurance coverage?
You can not legally drive a vehicle without having insurance. Even if you recently bought it. Washington state mandates all cars driven on public roadways to be properly insured. The fact that you recently acquired the car does not alter the guideline.
Luckily, if all of your currently owned vehicles are insured by one insurance provider then the coverage from those cars conveniently transfers for a few days (get in touch with your insurance provider to find out precisely for how long).
If all your autos are not insured with one insurance company, you will certainly wish to call your company before you drive off the lot. If you do not have insurance coverage, you should call Mid-Columbia Insurance prior to driving off with the car

Sometimes the most affordable price is not the best value. Are you getting the protection you need? Does the policy have coverages and exclusions that are reasonable to you?

If you are just searching for the lowest price you have a variety of alternatives:
- Just carry the protections you have to have.
- Raise your deductibles.
- Get quotes from a number of agencies. Each insurance provider weighs ranking factors in a different way so prices can differ by hundreds of dollars. As an independent agency, Mid-Columbia Insurance automatically shops multiple insurance companies for you.
- Stop getting tickets like others collect Pokemon.

About Lake Stevens
Lake Stevens is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States, and is named for the lake that it surrounds. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Everett and borders the cities of Marysville to the northwest and Snohomish to the south. The city’s population was 28,069 at the 2010 census, but has since grown to an estimated 33,911.
The lake was named in 1859 for territorial governor Isaac Stevens and was originally home to the Skykomish in the Pilchuck River basin. The first modern settlement on Lake Stevens was founded at the northeastern corner of the lake in 1889. It was later sold to the Rucker Brothers, who opened a sawmill in 1907 that spurred early growth in the area, but closed in 1925 after the second of two major fires. The Lake Stevens area then became a resort community before developing into a commuter town in the 1960s and 1970s.
Lake Stevens was incorporated as a city in 1960, following an exodus of businesses from the downtown area to a new shopping center. The city has since grown through annexations to encompass most of the lake, including the original shopping center, and quadrupled in population from 2000 to 2010. A revitalized downtown area is planned alongside new civic buildings in the 2020s.
