What is SR 22 Insurance?
Sometimes an SR22 is called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR-22 form on file just indicates you are fulfilling the state’s minimum vehicle insurance requirements.
If you let your SR-22 insurance coverage cancel, your insurer is required to alert the state with a SR26 form and if you go long enough without the SR22, you might have to pay a fine to reinstate your license once you get a new SR-22.

The typical cost of SR 22 insurance coverage should be less than $5 each month when added to an ordinary auto insurance policy given that most insurers only charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR-22 filing. Why, then, does SR 22 insurance appear so costly? An SR-22 is simply a rider on your normal car insurance policy. If it is costly, it is because the vehicle insurance rate is based upon your driving record. Did you get a ticket for driving under the influence? Several traffic tickets? Involved in an accident? Been without insurance coverage? Obviously something happened to trigger you to require the SR 22 and this is what causes your insurance coverage to be higher than others.
So, how much does SR22 insurance cost? SR22 insurance is inexpensive. It is your driving record that is not.

Testimonials & Referrals
Daisy was AMAZING! I called in January needing insurance starting in February. She worked up a quote, and when we went to finalize it the insurance company underwriter changed the parameters. Instead of letting me get discouraged, Daisy went above and beyond to help me keeping in contact with me every couple weeks until my situation has changed enough to afford the required insurance. She never let me give up, and she did everything in her power to get me the best deals. Would highly recommend her. She’s a great asset to her company.
