What is SR22 Insurance coverage?
Sometimes an SR22 is called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR-22 form on file just indicates you are meeting the state’s minimum auto insurance coverage requirements.
If you let your SR 22 insurance coverage go unpaid, your insurance company is obliged to notify the state with a SR 26 form and if you go for a time without the SR-22, you may have to pay a fine to restore your license once you get a brand-new SR22.
Is an SR 22 the same as car insurance?
An SR 22 is proof you have car insurance coverage. Similar to the Insurance ID Card you would show to a cop if you were pulled over but the SR-22 is filed with the Department of Licensing (DOL).

The average price of SR-22 insurance should be less than $5 monthly when added to a regular auto insurance plan since the majority of insurance providers just charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR22 filing. Why, then, does SR22 insurance seem so expensive? An SR 22 is simply a rider on your regular car insurance policy. Estevan Mojica was very polite and efficient in helping me obtain insurance for my car. He explained everything in detail and made sure I understood all the necessary documents. We were able to complete everything over the phone and he generated an overall pleasant experience. Thank you Estevan!
Daisy was AMAZING! I called in January needing insurance starting in February. She worked up a quote, and when we went to finalize it the insurance company underwriter changed the parameters. Instead of letting me get discouraged, Daisy went above and beyond to help me keeping in contact with me every couple weeks until my situation has changed enough to afford the required insurance. She never let me give up, and she did everything in her power to get me the best deals. Would highly recommend her. She’s a great asset to her company.
Cathlamet is a town located along the Ocean Beach Highway in Wahkiakum County, Washington, United States, where it is the county seat. The population was 532 at the 2010 census, though it has an additional rural population outside of the town limits.
Cathlamet was the largest, or one of the largest, villages of Columbia River Indians west of the Cascade Mountains, and the home of the Kathlamet people. “Cathlamet was sighted in 1792 by Lt. W.R. Broughton, while verifying Capt. Robert Gray’s reported exploration of the Columbia River.” This village of cedar houses included 300-400 inhabitants when visited by Lewis and Clark.
In 1846, James Birnie became the first permanent white settler at Cathlamet, moving there after a career with the Hudson’s Bay Company. He set up a trading post, remnants of which were reported still standing in 1906. “Birnie named the area Birnie’s Retreat. The name was later changed to Cathlamet in 1851.”
