What is SR 22 Insurance coverage?
Sometimes an SR22 is also called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR-22 form on file merely means you are fulfilling the state’s minimum automobile insurance coverage requirements.
If you let your SR 22 insurance lapse, your insurance provider is required to inform the state with a SR26 form and if you go for a time without the SR-22, you might need to pay the state to reinstate your license once you get a brand-new SR 22.
Is an SR 22 the same as car insurance?
An SR 22 is proof you have car insurance coverage. Sort of like the Proof of Insurance Card you would present to a cop if you were pulled over but the SR 22 form is submitted to the Department of Licensing (DOL).
Having an SR 22 is merely evidence you are fulfilling the DOL’s minimum car insurance requirements and is simply a rider on your vehicle insurance . Your insurance provider is certifying to the DOL that you have liability insurance in force with them and they guarantee to alert the state if your insurance terminates.

How Much Is SR-22 Insurance Coverage in Granger?
The average price of SR 22 insurance should be less than $5 each month when included in a normal vehicle insurance policy given that most insurance providers just charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR 22 filing. This is simply the charge the insurance company charges to manage the paperwork needed by the state to inform them that you have an active SR22 insurance filing. Why, then, does SR 22 insurance coverage seem so expensive? An SR-22 is simply a rider on your ordinary vehicle insurance. If it is pricey, it is because the vehicle insurance rate is based upon your real driving record. Did you get a DUI? Several traffic tickets? Involved in a crash? Been without insurance? Obviously something took place to trigger you to require the SR22 and this is what triggers your insurance to be higher than others.
How much will SR-22 insurance run? SR22 insurance is cheap. It is your driving record that is expensive.
How Long Do I Need to Have My SR22?

What Happens If I Terminate My SR 22 Insurance?
If your SR-22 insurance coverage terminates while an SR22 is still needed, the state will certainly re-suspend your drivers license till you get an SR 22 filed again as well as you may be required to pay the reinstatement fees once again to get your drivers license back.
When your SR 22 terminates, the insurance provider is obliged to file an SR 26 with the Department of Licensing to alert them that you no longer have active insurance coverage.

Washington only calls for minimum coverage on the plan so it doesn’t need to be costly to start. Of course, the more tickets you have received, the more your insurance policy will cost you.
A fast telephone call and we can have your insurance coverage set up and your SR-22 on its way to the state.
Does SR-22 Raise Insurance Prices?
Needing an SR 22 raises your insurance policy prices because a lot of name-brand insurance companies do not want to insure somebody who requires an SR22 and also due to the tickets you most likely have on your motor vehicle history.
