What is SR-22 Insurance?
Sometimes an SR22 is called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR-22 form on file simply proves you are satisfying the state’s minimum car insurance coverage requirements.
If you let your SR-22 insurance go unpaid, your insurance provider is obliged to inform the state with a SR-26 form and if you go long enough without the SR-22, you may have to pay the state to get back your license once you get a new SR 22.
Is an SR-22 the same as auto insurance?
An SR-22 is proof you have automobile insurance. Sort of like the Proof of Insurance Card you would show to law enforcement if you were pulled over but the SR22 is filed with the Department of Licensing (DOL).

The typical rate of SR22 insurance coverage should be less than $5 each month when added to a regular auto insurance plan considering that a lot of insurers only charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR22 filing. Why, then, does SR-22 insurance appear so costly? An SR-22 is just a rider on your standard vehicle insurance. If it is expensive, it is due to the fact that the auto insurance rate is based on your real driving record. Did you get a DUI? Multiple traffic tickets? Involved in an accident? Been without insurance coverage? Certainly something occurred to trigger you to need the SR-22 and this is what triggers your insurance coverage to be higher than others.
Just how much does SR22 insurance cost? SR22 insurance is affordable. It is your driving record that is expensive.
How Long Am I Required to Carry My SR 22?
Typically you are required to have an SR22 for 3 years however it could quite possibly be more or less depending on the court and your circumstances.

Does SR 22 Increase Insurance Rates?
Needing an SR22 hikes your insurance policy prices since most name-brand insurers don’t care to cover a driver who requires an SR22 as well as because of the tickets you most likely have on your motor vehicle history.

Kelso is a city in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Washington and is the county seat of Cowlitz County. At the 2010 census, the population was 11,925. Kelso is part of the Longview, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of 102,410. Kelso shares its long western border with Longview. It is near Mount St. Helens.
The earliest known inhabitants of Kelso were Native Americans from the Cowlitz tribe. The Cowlitz people were separated into the Upper (or Taidnapam) and Lower (or Mountain) Cowlitz tribes, who were members of the Sahaptin and Salish language families, respectively. In 1855, European explorers noted that there numbered over 6,000 individuals of the Cowlitz Tribe.
Kelso was founded by Peter W. Crawford, a Scottish surveyor, who, in 1847, took up the first donation land claim on the Lower Cowlitz River. Crawford platted a townsite which he named after his home town of Kelso, Scotland. The original plat was dated and filed in October 1884. It became incorporated in 1889.
