What is SR22 Insurance coverage?
Sometimes an SR22 is called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR-22 form on file simply indicates you are fulfilling the state’s minimum auto insurance requirements.
If you let your SR22 insurance cancel, your insurance company is required to inform the state with a SR-26 form and if you go without the SR-22, you might need to pay a fine to get back your license once you get a brand-new SR22.

The average price of SR-22 insurance coverage ought to be less than $5 each month when added to a normal vehicle insurance policy considering that most insurance companies just charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR 22 filing. Why, then, does SR-22 insurance seem so pricey? An SR-22 is just a rider on your normal auto insurance. If it is pricey, it is due to the fact that the auto insurance rate is based on your actual driving record. Did you get a ticket for driving under the influence? Multiple traffic tickets? Involved in an accident? Been without insurance? Certainly something happened to trigger you to need the SR 22 and this is what triggers your insurance to be higher than others.
So, how much will SR-22 insurance run? SR22 insurance coverage is inexpensive. It is your driving record that is pricey.
