What is SR 22 Insurance coverage?
Sometimes an SR22 is also called a certificate of financial responsibility (CFR) filing. Having an SR22 form on file merely means you are meeting the state’s minimum vehicle insurance coverage requirements.
If you let your SR22 insurance coverage lapse, your insurance provider is obliged to inform the state with a SR 26 form and if you go long enough without the SR-22, you may need to pay a fine to reinstate your license once you get a new SR-22.

An SR 22 is proof you have cars or truck insurance. Sort of like the Insurance ID Card you would present to law enforcement if you were pulled over but the SR-22 form is submitted to the Department of Licensing (DOL).
Having an SR-22 is merely evidence you are fulfilling the DOL’s minimum auto insurance requirements and is just an addition to your auto insurance . Your insurance company is certifying to the DOL that you have liability insurance in force with them and they guarantee to inform the DOL if your insurance terminates.

How Much Is SR 22 Insurance in West Richland?
The average rate of SR 22 insurance coverage ought to be less than $5 per month when included in a regular car insurance policy given that the majority of insurance companies only charge about $25 per 6 month policy term for an SR-22 filing. This is just the charge the insurance company charges to deal with the documents needed by the state to inform them that you have an active SR22 filing. Why, then, does SR-22 insurance appear so costly? An SR22 is simply a rider on your normal auto insurance policy. If it is pricey, it is due to the fact that the auto insurance rate is based on your real driving record. Did you get a DUI? Several traffic tickets? Involved in a crash? Been without insurance? Clearly something took place to trigger you to need the SR 22 and this is what triggers your insurance to be higher than others.
How much will SR-22 insurance coverage run? SR22 insurance coverage is affordable. It is your driving record that is costly.
For How Long Am I Required to Have My SR 22?
Normally you need to carry an SR-22 for 3 years but it could well be more or less depending on the court and also your situation.
The most effective way to learn how long you will really need to carry an SR 22 is to call the Washington Department of Licensing directly at (360)902-3900 and ask.

If, while mandated, your SR22 insurance policy terminates while an SR 22 is still needed, the state will re-suspend your license until you get another SR22 submitted once again as well as you may have to pay the reinstatement costs once again in order to get your drivers license back.
When your SR 22 cancels, the insurance provider is obliged to file an SR-26 with the DOL to notify them that you no longer have active insurance.

About West Richland
West Richland is a city in Benton County, Washington, United States. The population was 11,811 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan area, whose principal cities (the Tri-Cities) are Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.
The original people of the region were the Chemnapum Indians (closely related to the Wanapum tribe), living near the mouth of the Yakima River. Lewis and Clark passed through the area in 1805, and an expedition of the Army Corps of Topographical Engineers headed by Robert E Johnson mapped the Yakima Valley in 1841.
In 1853, a road was authorized by Congress to pass through the Yakima Valley, and passed through present-day West Richland; however, settlement did not properly begin until the late 1870s. The first schoolhouse was built in 1896 on the Van Horn Property just south of what is now Van Giesen Street. Benton County was created in 1905, Richland was incorporated in 1906, and the West Richland area was known as ‘Lower Yakima’.
