Ahtanum Youth Activities Park – Union Gap WA
Ahtanum Youth Activities Park is a huge 74-acre park in Union Gap, WA offering opportunities for group picnicking (including 3 covered shelters), soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and horseshoes. Other facilities include 2 buildings available for rental for large group gatherings such as weddings, a BMX Track, a 4-H Ropes Challenge Course, and an outdoor arena for equestrian use.
The park was acquired by the City of Union Gap in the spring of 2006, originally it was a Department of Agriculture farm labor camp.
Free Parking Passes
Union Gap residents can get a parking pass for free from City Hall. One pass is allowed per household and is valid for one year from the date of issuance. Bring your drivers license or proof of residency to City Hall to receive your free pass.

Master Gardeners
The WSU Yakima County Master Gardeners have two gardens at the Ahtanum Youth Activities Park. One garden is a demonstration garden and one is an heirloom garden. Both gardens are teaching gardens with a variety of classes held during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
The WSU Yakima County Master Gardeners have a greenhouse on site, that allows members to propagate plants from seed or cuttings to be sold at the annual plant sale to raise funds and support the program.
