- Bodily Injury Liability Protection: $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident
- Property Damage Liability Protection: $10,000 per accident
Personal Injury Protection and Uninsured Motorist coverages must be offered by the insurer however the law permits you to refuse them by signing a rejection form.
Not only must you have insurance, but the law likewise demands that any time you are driving in the state, you need to be able to show your evidence of car insurance to the police.
Failure to show evidence of coverage when asked for by a cop is an infraction and can lead to fines of up to $550.
Can I get insurance if I don’t have a driver’s license?
You can get car insurance coverage despite the fact that you do not have a driver license. Someone may well question why someone would want to however there are a number of legitimate reasons someone might wish to, all involving securing themselves and their assets.
- You have a foreign driver’s license and are visiting the United States.
- Your license is suspended, you probably want to get insurance coverage and an SR22 filing so you can get your license back.
- You’re trying to get your license and need to practice with your learner’s permit before taking the driving test.
- You don’t drive but you have a teenager who wishes to drive but you need to purchase the vehicle in your name because they are underage.

Should I just get state minimum liability limits?
If you don’t have any savings or assets, minimum liability coverage might be enough however it would certainly not be enough to cover significant injuries or to repair/replace a newer car. Without adequate insurance, your future earnings may be garnished to cover the damage you trigger.
If you just are carrying the state-required $10,000 property damage and hit a car worth say $20,000, the insurance provider will pay the $10,000 however you are responsible for the remainder.
In essence, you are self-insuring for anything over the insurance coverage limits you have actually picked. If you don’t wish to have your salary garnished or your properties sold off, seriously consider acquiring higher limits of liability.
Can I drive a vehicle I just bought without insurance coverage?
You can’t by law drive a vehicle without having insurance coverage. Even if you just now bought it. Washington state mandates all automobiles driven on public roads to be properly insured. The fact that you recently acquired the car or truck does not change the guideline.
Luckily, if all of your presently owned automobiles are insured by one insurance company then the insurance coverage on those vehicles automatically transfers for a couple of days (check with your insurance company to find out exactly how long).
If every one of your autos are not insured with one insurance company, you will wish to call your representative prior to driving off with the car. If you do not have insurance, you will wish to call Mid-Columbia Insurance before you drive off with the car
How can I analyze insurance quotes?
- Ensure you are asking each agent for the same coverages
- Ensure you have each insurer quote you with the identical driving MVR
- Ensure that you take a look at the agency’s on-line track record
It is really simple for an agent to have a lower rate if they are presenting reduced protection or are not using the very same tickets and crashes. Make sure you’re getting a proper comparison. Select the very same set of insurance coverages, limits, and deductibles and the exact same driving record for each quote you get.
Once you’ve received a handful of car quotes, factor in the helpfulness of the agent you talked to and how well they discussed things and if they suggested other insurance coverages. Then read the company’s Google Reviews to be sure they measure up to your standards.

- Only take the protections you must have.
- Get quotes from a number of insurers. Each insurer weighs ranking elements in a different way so costs can differ by hundreds of dollars. As an independent agency, Mid-Columbia Insurance automatically shops several companies for you.
- Stop collecting tickets like others gather Pokemon.
- Raise your deductibles.

Chewelah ( chə-WEE-lə) is a city in Stevens County, Washington, United States. It is located approximately 45 miles north northwest of Spokane. The population was 2,607 at the 2010 census, a 19.3% increase from 2000.
The name of the town comes from a Kalispel word, sč̓ewíleʔ, meaning “watersnake” or “gartersnake”. Alice Sherwood Abrahamson stated that “The name Chewelah comes from the Native American word “S che wee leh”, meaning water or garter snake. There was a spring in what is now the southwest end of Chewelah. The old McCreas lived there, and their homestead was called “Sche wee leh ee” for the spring bubbled up there. The motion of the water gave the illusion of snakes moving about in the water.” Prior to colonization by European-Americans, Chewelah was home to a band of the Kalispel people. The band was known as the slet̓éw̓si, meaning “valley people”. Originally, the area was called Fool’s Prairie, after the Kalispel Indian who left his own tribe because of a dispute. Chewelah and the rest of the Colville River Valley were part of the Colville Indian Reservation from April 9, 1872, when the reservation was created, until July 2, 1872, when a subsequent executive order reduced the size of the reservation. The Chewelah Band of Indians is currently part of the Spokane Tribe.
Thomas and Mary Brown moved to the Fool’s Prairie in 1859. On May 8, 1872, Thomas Brown received authority to establish a post office named Chewelah. The name was first used in Stevens County Commissioner Journals on May 6, 1872. That post office disbanded on February 23, 1875. In 1879, the post office was reestablished with Major John Simms, Indian Agent, as postmaster. Chewelah was officially incorporated on February 4, 1903.
