Failure to show proof of insurance coverage when asked for by a policeman is a violation and can lead to penalties of up to $550.

Can you get Vehicle insurance without a drivers license?
You can buy car insurance even though you do not have a driver license. You may well wonder why someone would bother however there are several genuine reasons someone may want to, all having to do with protecting themselves and their assets.
- You do not drive a car for health reasons however you own a car or truck and a member of the family or a caretaker drives for you.
- Your license is suspended, you probably need to get insurance and an SR22 filing so you can get your license back.
- You have a foreign drivers license and are visiting the United States.
- You’re attempting to get your license and need to practice with your learner’s permit before taking the driving test.

Should I just buy state minimum limits?
If you have no savings or assets, minimum liability protection may be adequate but it would not suffice to pay for serious injuries or to repair/replace a new car or truck. Without adequate insurance, your future wages may be garnished to cover the damage you cause.
If you only have the state-required $10,000 property damage and wreck a vehicle worth say $20,000, the insurance company will pay the $10,000 however you are responsible for the remainder.
Basically, you are self-insuring for anything over the insurance limits you have purchased. If you do not want to have your earnings garnished or your possessions sold off, seriously think about getting higher limits of liability.
Can I drive a cars or truck I recently bought without insurance coverage?
You cannot lawfully drive a vehicle without insurance coverage. Even if you just bought it. Washington state requires all cars or trucks driven on public roadways to be properly insured. The fact that you just now purchased the car or truck does not alter the guideline.
Thankfully, if all your currently owned cars and trucks are insured with one insurance company then the insurance coverage for those vehicles by default transfers for a couple of days (consult with your insurance agent to find out exactly how long).
If all of your cars are not insured with one insurer, you will certainly want to call your agent prior to driving off with the car. If you do not have an insurance policy, you will want to call Mid-Columbia Insurance before you drive off with the car

An easy method for an insurance provider to have low rates is to deny every claim. They understand it works.
If you are merely searching for the most affordable rate you have a number of alternatives:
- Only take the protections you must have.
- Get quotes from a number of companies. Each insurer weighs ranking factors differently so costs can vary by hundreds of dollars. As an independent agency, Mid-Columbia Insurance automatically shops multiple companies for you.
- Raise your deductibles.
- Stop collecting tickets like others gather Pokemon.

About Pasco
Pasco ( PAS-koh) is a city in, and the county seat of, Franklin County, Washington, United States. It had a population of 59,781 at the 2010 census, and 75,432 as of the July 1, 2019 Census Bureau estimate.
Pasco is one of three cities (the others being Kennewick and Richland) that make up Washington state’s Tri-Cities region, a mid-sized metropolitan area of approximately 296,224 people.
On October 16, 1805, the Lewis and Clark Expedition camped in the Pasco area, at a site now commemorated by Sacajawea State Park. The area was frequented by fur trappers and gold traders. In the 1880s, the Northern Pacific Railway was built near the Columbia River, bringing many settlers to the area. Pasco was officially incorporated on September 3, 1891. It was named by Virgil Bogue, a construction engineer for the Northern Pacific Railway after Cerro de Pasco, a city in the Peruvian Andes, where he had helped build a railroad. In its early years Pasco was a small railroad town, but the completion of the Grand Coulee Dam in 1941 brought irrigation and agriculture to the area.
